La Liga has had a fair shares of the most paid transfer fees of all time in world with Real Madrid and Barcelona splashing cash in a number of super-stars over the years.

La Liga has been a destination of primary choice for many world football super-stars and even Premier League has failed to match their competition.

With Real Madrid and Barcelona successful to attract any player in the world, there’s no wonder why La Liga dominates the list of greatest transfer fee ever paid.

Gareth Bale is the player who once held  the record of highest transfer fees paid for a player as he moved from Spurs to Real Madrid in the season 13/14 but the winger’s transfer fee was well covered by his endorsements and Real Madrid’s successful challenge to the Champions League title last season.

James Rodriguez and Luis Suarez were two players who joined La Liga macho clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively the following summer, and both the players held the record for being one of the world’s most expensive players in the process.

Subsequently, Barcelona also bought Ousmanne Dembele from Borussia Dortmund to add to the plethora of their expensive signings.
